I have been playing with patterns on thirsty watercolour paper during the chilly nights.
It's as though I have become completely entranced by patterns - spots, lines, circles, ovals, hounds-tooth, herringbone, raindrops, bricks, spirals... you name it I'm loving it.
I especially love these floaty triangles.

I love playing with water colours when the kids are painting. I have my own pad of textured paper and doodle away while they paint. The changes in colour saturation, the fade out as the brush dries out, I love it all.
