It appears that I have become very picky when it comes to op shopping. Perhaps I have too much stuff (or 'junk and blankets' as The Boy says)? Perhaps I don't have enough storage space for more stuff? But I find myself picking up objects of my desire, only to round the corner and ask myself "Do I really need this?" Sadly the voice of logic in my head stands firm and replies "What do you think?!" then the object is put down on a shelf only to be thought of repeatedly for the next few hours "Oh why didn't I just take it to the counter?"
Our trip to Victoria sent us to every op shop we sighted, and low and behold the voice of logic was nowhere to be seen... on most occasions anyway. Ner Ner silly voice!
Sweet coat hangers.
A new glass to add to my collection. We decided we won't be using these for their proposed function any longer, they are rather breakable and too pretty. They're now going to live a life as tealight candle holders.
So Poo to you logic! Do go and peruse some more completely logical purchases over here :)
Gorgeous Tracey; I love it ALL!!! (...and I STILL love 'junk and blankets' hehe)
ReplyDeleteI've been a little more picky these days too
ReplyDeleteBut of course being a "junk & blanket" collector is sooo much fun (I do have to admit the blankets have got a bit OTT)..the trick is to have flow...luckily my children would now prefer meaningful second hand things than new ones yay! What fun finds. Much love Catherine
ReplyDeleteThose baby hangers - I remember playing with those as a wee girl. Great finds!
ReplyDeletei understand that kind of doubt all too well. it helps to not visit the shops. ahem.
ReplyDeleteOh I am dead envious of that red coathanger - I think they must be rare for I have never seen one! Your glasses look so marvellous with the light streaming through them - yay for you and a big hooray for quelling the logical voice in your head!
ReplyDeletei love your glasses too ... i've very partial to vintage glasses.
ReplyDeleteMy Flea Market Find
Love the glasses! I have started searching for china dinner plates - no particular theme in mind - to make up a dinner set for myself.
ReplyDeleteI share that struggle between my heart and that logical voice... glad you got to turn it off for a while and have some fun!
ReplyDeleteoh THAT voice, well err, yes...Love your wares!
ReplyDeleteooh they would definitely make good tea-light candle holders, pretty as a picture!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun checking out what goodies people have found! Love your glasses, such a good idea to use them for tea lights, I've found some great glasses over the years but sadly that are no more, wish I had thought of your idea! Eleesa
ReplyDeleteHow I luurve your suitcase!! I already have TOOOO much but there is always something sles isn't there :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting ;)
GREAT purchases! It is very good to throw out the voice of logic when opshopping. I am inspired by the row of beautiful glasses, very inspired, to start my own collection.
ReplyDeleteLove your finds.
ReplyDeleteSeeing those sweeet coat hangers took me back, I love them. And your glasses are fabulous.
I often ask my self the same question, but console myself by saying well I can give it back them if I change my mind...
